Rocket Piano Review"The
Truth About Rocket Piano - The Ultimate Piano Learning Kit or Just
Another Overhyped Self Study Course That Leads You To Nowhere? Warning: read before you
waste your money."
Tuesday 9:33 AM From: The Desk of Alex Nguyen, Senior Reviewer Product: Rocket Piano - The Ultimate Piano Learning Kit Re: Should I invest my money in Rocket Piano? Dear Future Piano Player, Let me be frank with you right from the start. I can't stand hypey products and when it comes to piano learning courses, there's no shortage of them on the internet. I've been playing piano for over 20 years and I am always on the lookout for new products. Frankly, the majority of these products are based on hype that has little value to the aspiring piano player like yourself. Once in a while, there's a decent product that has substance and can truly help you play piano - the right way. Recently, there has been a lot of buzz about Rocket Piano. So naturally, I wanted to see for myself what the buzz was all about. Mind you I'm a very hard person to please because I've tried practically everything under the sun when it comes to piano self study courses. The people at Rocket Piano claim to have found a better way for people to learn piano. I became skeptical, but I decided to take Rocket Piano for a test drive. I started out reading the salesletter on their site. Indeed, there seemed to be a lot of hype. For instance, Rocket Piano claims to teach people how to play piano with "The Rhythm, Timing, and Magic of A Professional" ![]() I yawned... From
the start I thought it was going to be a waste of time.
Rocket Piano was created by a young professional named Ruth Searle, as stated on the salesletter. This could be just a marketing gimmick that the author puts on. I mean the course could have been created by anybody for all we know. Frankly, I don't really care about that. I care about the quality of the product and how it adds value to the end consumer. In this case, the question I had in my mind was: "How can Rocket Piano
really help
people play piano fast and have fun at the same time?"
First, I wanted to make sure that the material lives up to their pitch. Second, I was concerned about the quality of instruction and what depth the course covers. Some other products out there teach only the very basic stuff and leave you hanging. You'd have to come back and buy more from them if you wish to pursue further your musical path. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that that's not the case with Rocket Piano. There are 3 books for three levels of piano playing: beginning, intermediate, and advanced. So no matter what your current level is, you can jump in and start where you feel comfortable. There are also abundant sound and video files available for you to see and hear each lesson, step by step. This is extremely important because the best way to learn to play piano is to see and hear what the music sounds like and then mimic what you've just heard and seen. "All these lessons are
very well explained
and easily applied. I'm beginning to like what I'm seeing so far."
In addition to the 3 books, 139 sound and video files, there are 5 software games that come with the product as bonuses. Speaking of bonuses I wanted to check out if they really add any value to the product or they're just plain fillers. There are a total of 5 (4 and one "time sensitive" bonus. It's a marketing ploy.) They are:
By random I wanted to check out Jayde Musica Pro, a cutting edge software tool to help you learn to read music fast, so they claim. ![]() There are three levels you can choose from: beginning, intermediate, advanced, perfect for any piano player! It is really a fun way to learn to read music. It beats the old traditional "Every Good Boy Does Fine" approach any day! The nice thing about the course is that everything, including the 3 books, is downloadable. So you can get started immediately. However, they also have the physical version for those who prefer it that way. Ok, so I'm convinced that
these cutting
edge tools will help anyone play piano faster and have fun too, but...
there's still one thing that's missing! When people ask me for advice as to the best way to learn piano. My answer to them is always "with a teacher." Afterall, only a teacher or a coach can help you when you get stuck. The second best way is to obtain a good self study course and Rocket Piano seems to deliver what it promises. A self study piano course gives you the flexibility and convenience of going at your own pace, but it can't replace a teacher. Think about it. What do you do when you get stuck? And we all get stuck sometimes! Studies have shown that most people who engage in self study courses quit learning the piano because when they get stuck, they don't know who to turn to and they give up. That's when a teacher comes in, someone whom the student can ask questions when he/she needs the most. You should never go to the next level unless you have mastered the current level you're on. The role of a teach is not only to give advice, but to help the student breakthrough the wall that they sometimes run into. A good, competent teacher can help you do just that. I like Rocket Piano... a lot! "But we're stuck with a
dilemma..."
I know Rocket Piano will help people play piano faster and have fun at the same time, but my disclaimer is that they will not have the benefits of a one-on-one coaching. With the already discounted price that they're offering, there's no way they could give that away too; they'd lose money! "I sat down and thought
about it and see if
I could help... and there is only
one way that I can
make this work: I am goinng to give you private one-on-one coaching...
for FREE!"
